Mission Drift?

Hamish Brown

I am somewhat concerned at the way Marhof enthusiasts are pushing these days. There has been a noted tendency for outings to be very much designed for those into the minutiae of the game - at the expense of the rest who, instead of minor islands etc, would very much like to be bagging proper Marilyns like the islands at the south end of the Outer Hebrides. This coterie, having done them and nearly all else on Dawson's list, now dominate procedures, the head wagging the dog and the tail drooping. Couldn't one trip a year guarantee going to the thoroughly challenging and worthy to reward proletarians; Marilyns, after all was what Marhof was all about. We stray!
