Cruach Lerags (19A, LR49)

Tony Rogers and Lionel Bidwell

Cruach Lerags can be approached from the north without encountering trees until within 200 metres of the summit. Park on minor road by communications mast at NM83712766 (plenty of room). Walk south passing farmhouse and ascending steadily over undulating ground to the west of Loch Gleann a'Bhearraidh, then steeply up to forest wall at NM83772592. Climb wall and walk south up break in forest to arrive at hummocky ground around the 252m summit of Cruach Lerags. There is no cairn. Total walk of 4.5km with 250m ascent in less than two hours.
