Baglogs:
Alistair Milner (+59=718)
There were many highlights in the year:
- An eight-day trek in Nepal from Pokhara towards Mardi Himal with nine Nepalis looking after us. We had our own tent with three inch foam mattresses, a tent to dine in with table and chairs and no other people. The views of Machhapuchhre were fabulous.
- An ascent of Sgurr a'Gharaidh in May where I met Jim Bloomer, who had been to the same grammar school as me near Leeds (remember grammar schools?). He was talking about Humps, something I knew little about at the time.
- An ascent of Tiorga Mor in wild weather in May - third time lucky - and a few days in the Isle of Wight where both Marilyns and the four additional Humps were climbed.
- On a height measuring trip to Fisherfield, Stewart Logan had a book called 'More Relative Hills of Britain' which I subsequently bought.
- We had a week on Mull in the last week of November and had clear, sunny days, which enabled us to get up five Grahams. On the last day we went to Iona in the rain and climbed its high point, Dun.
After returning from Mull in early December having done 146 Grahams, it seemed easy to get to 150 by the end of the year. Sadly, the month was so wild in Scotland, we did not do any.
