I had hoped to reach 1200 by year end, but fell a bit short as a planned trip to Wales failed to materialise. One excuse was that, with overseas visitors to be taken first to Mull and then to Skye, my agenda did not include new Marilyns. However, both trips were enjoyed despite the torrential rain on Skye. I did have a club trip to Arran and completed all the unclimbed Marilyns there, fortunately including Sail Chalmadale, which had been promoted in the revised tables. A second trip to Mull was somewhat curtailed due to the last week of the stalking season being a busy time for the estates, with some hills out of bounds. A late trip to the Lakes in fine November weather gave good walking, limited only by the early onset of darkness. I'll look forward to 2012 and maybe take the new tent out again to try to complete some new areas. My old faithful Peapod tent eventually gave up after about 25 years so I felt it had done well and should enjoy a retirement.
