Baglogs:

Arithmetic neatness: Tony Smith (+111=1212)

This year's log seems rather routine: steady numerical progress with the Marilyns and plenty of good days out - and a number in truly awful weather, it must be said. The 'if I've travelled 400+ miles to south Wales to bag hills, then that's what I'm going to do' scenario.

Few real highlights but the best trips were undoubtedly islands; Ailsa Craig with Simon in April, and then Shetland (especially Foula), Mull and Skye. The mainland highlight would be the Black Dog club meet in Lochinver and hence a great day out on Suilven. At the other end of the spectrum were the miserable slog up Sighty Crag (thankfully alone) and several (well known) examples of excess trees and GOMLs. However, we live to fight another day and hopefully this year will include the final English hill - in Yorkshire, of course, to go with the first, 600th and 1000th - and Scarba, both of which were planned for 2011 but thwarted at the proverbial 11th hour. PS: 1212 to start 2012 was entirely co-incidental - honestly.
