Meet some new members:

Dale Allan (637)

My interest in Marilyns began... because my legs could not take the constant pounding of running and I opted for the more leisurely pursuit of Munro bagging. At first I was a bit of a Munro snob, completing my first round in 1990-2000. I joined my son on his round which he completed in 2006. I saw the light and started bagging Corbetts and Grahams and then sub 2000ft Scottish Marilyns. When I first came across Marilyn baggers in The Angry Corrie I thought this was just another government care in the community scheme. However, my wife thought I would be well suited.

My favourite Marilyns are... any with good views, no midges or ticks around and dry mild weather.

My least favourite Marilyns are... any that are in the middle of a forest or bog.

Do I keep Marilyn bagging a secret? No, all my work colleagues are aware of my hillwalking obsession and tend to pity or humour me.

I... am possibly the most boring greeting-faced individual in Scotland and if boring was our national sport then I would be the team captain. I can regularly be found supporting Ayr United or Scotland, even managing a few football / hillwalking combinations. (AD: Wouldn't being captain make you more interesting than the rest of the team?)
