Meet some new members:

Robert Allan (637)

My interest in Marilyns began... because it allows me the opportunity to explore new areas in the UK such as Orkney, Shetland, Isle of Man. I have completed the Munros and am presently ticking off the Corbetts and Grahams. I started bagging Marilyns approximately three years ago.

My favourite Marilyn is... Red Screes in the Lake District, climbing the hill in perfect winter conditions and then visiting the Kirkstone Pass Inn and sampling some excellent real ale and curry.

My least favourite Marilyns are... those in dense forests where you have to fight your way to the top of the hill.

Do I keep Marilyn bagging a secret? My friends are aware of my hillwalking interests but I doubt they would understand what a Marilyn is.

I... am a big real ale fan and look forward to visiting new areas of the UK to do a bit of bagging and pint supping. My father doesn't drink much after being advised by his dad many years ago not to drink on an empty head. However on the odd occasion when we have celebrated with a few beers, after a good day on the hills we have been compared to the Chuckle brothers.
