Jimmy White: There is a bit of a parking problem here, so it's best to park on the verge at the entrance to the farm (NT579374) and either walk back NE up the farm road or (as I did) walk south along the road for 500 metres to the wood before heading straight up through easily-negotiated trees on to the open hillside.
