Jon Metcalf: Yet another way to avoid a mouthful of pine needles starts from the tiny trackside cairn at NX921710 just after Lochaber View (which I missed on the way up). A faint but well-graded path takes you to the mapped upper forest road. The break at 923713 is actually there, from which a path branches off to the summit from about 926715. The indistinct top is crying out for a good memorial to distinguish it from the overgrown surroundings. The fire breaks from 922709 to 928709 and from there towards the top are a hellish overgrown nightmare, choked with neglected deadfalls.
