Some comments from a poorish bag last year:

Ardgour: Pick a sunny day in April to see adders and slow worms in Gleann Sron a Chreagain, on the way to Stob Coire a'Chearcaill and Meall an t-Slamain.

Leathad Mor (3A): A long walk on a good track to a well-appointed bothy at Gorton, where we saw a Land Rover chuntering towards Bridge of Orchy along the railway, but were too far away to appreciate the engineering.

Tongue: Where else in the UK can you drive 28 miles on a Sunday afternoon without meeting another car?

Skye: My third virtual wash-out in seven visits over 21 years, with an average of 1.3 Marilyns per visit. At this rate it'll take me another 32 years to get the remaining 42.

'Thing is, for all their faults, the lists work. It's hard not to get drawn in.'
