Meet some new members:

Hilary Neilson

My interest in Marilyns began... when I was just bagging Munros and joined the scottishhills.com website. I became much more aware of Marilyns and the sheer variety of all manner of hills that are available to us. Seemed a much better idea than just tramping up the bigger hills, often in rotten weather.

My favourite Marilyn is... Conachair. I had a few weather-cancelled trips to St Kilda before finally getting there, and everything about that day was special, including the hill.

My least favourite Marilyn is... Steele's Knowe, as a herd of cattle attacked me and I was very lucky to get out of the scrape.

Do I keep Marilyn bagging a secret? No, not sure why I would? My family and friends all know I bag hills but they would not know their Marilyns from their Munros.

I... have a passion for castles, stately homes and historical sites. Often I combine bagging a hill in the morning and a castle in the afternoon. Perfect.
