Baglog bonanza:

Mark Smith (+9=1108)

2014 was another quiet year on the Marilyns campaign. Between Lamberton Hill in March and Lamington Hill in November I managed to claim just nine other new Marilyns during the year, mainly in the Western Isles, along with a similar number of re-visits. While the sleep-deprived dash to the St Kilda stacks in early October has to be the more memorable trip, May's return to the Barra Isles was the more satisfying despite the Vatersay Boys' failure to put in an appearance at the Castlebay Hotel.

Distant wanderings also netted a score of new Humps, Great Hetha and The Bell in Northumberland being particularly fine expeditions, but the current trend for austerity has seen me principally restrained to the Tump-rich pastures, heaths and woodlands of southern Britain, where some 200 summits were logged.
