Baglog bonanza:

Tony Deall (+19=878)

2014 was a difficult year with not too much progress, so the twelve Grahams added must count as a bonus. With 38 to go and all north of the Great Glen there is still much work to do.

A trip in May involving stays in Fort William, Pitlochry and Boat of Garten accounted for half, together with re-ascents of the Beinn a'Ghlo and Glen Tilt Munros. Fast-forward to August and a brief stay in Shieldaig saw Torridon and Applecross visited before being washed over to Beauly for a tidy up in Strathfarrar and Strathconon.

Prior to the Scottish trips a LEJOG cycle in April gave access to Devon and Cornwall to complete region 40. Region 41 only requires two above Lyme Regis to finally put England to rest. The lack of views from Dunkery Beacon and its neighbours was offset by a grand cycle across Exmoor.

Progressive back pain due to spinal stenosis made walking more and more difficult, though a relieving injection in June made a planned visit to the Dolomites and a brief but terrifying flirtation with via ferrata possible. Thankfully, cycling remained fairly comfortable so several months were spent largely on two wheels.

Surgery became inevitable at the beginning of November and rehabilitation continues, with a hopeful return to the hills come Spring.
