I had a fairly busy hillwalking year in 2014, starting with a first-ever climb of a Munro in winter - maybe I should get an ice axe. My main aim was to complete the Grahams. I had several to climb on Mull, with the last one, Beinn Fhada, being combined with Ben More on a superb day. My last Graham was Ben Venue in the Trossachs, climbed around 35 years after my first attempt which had been abandoned due to heavy rain. Later that same week I made a repeat ascent of Seana Bhraigh from the north-east via the spectacular Creag an Duine. I realised that I probably had not reached the true summit on my first visit in thick cloud, so you could say that I completed the Munros just two days after the Grahams. Plans for 2015 include climbing my last Donald and a visit to Eigg.
