2014 started slowly, but a trip to south Wales picked off two of the remaining three Marilyns. A few days at Brora added to the Scottish collection, however the trip to the Western Isles and St Kilda provided the bulk of the year's haul with nine added during the week. We were blessed with fantastic weather and sea state which more than compensated for the curtailed trip in 2013, so a big thank-you to Alan Holmes for the flawless organisation.
A few more Marilyns were picked up in October to make the total a bit more respectable. It was a shame to miss out on the St Kilda sea stack trip, but hopefully a re-run might happen in 2015.
