Baglog bonanza:

Neil Stewart (+18-2=722)

2014 turned out to be a poor hillwalking year for me. Knee trouble plus an unrelated visit to hospital for minor surgery curtailed my activities and I was not helped by the demotion of two Marilyns. I only managed 18 new Marilyns so I expect that I will have fallen down the league table in the Hall of Fame.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed what I did do. I made a first visit to Easter Ross and climbed Ben Horn, a wonderful viewpoint somewhat spoiled by the arc of wind turbines to its north. Stob na Cruaiche was the best new hill of the year, climbed from Rannoch station. The rough track to the top did not detract from the feeling of space and emptiness with the whole of Rannoch Moor laid out below.
