Looking at the Landranger map, the most likely starting point for this hill is NM470473. That route is feasible and not too bad, but an easier and more pleasant route starts from about NM 4624 4804, where a grassy path leads to the firebreak shown on the 1:25000 map. Unlike many firebreaks, the terrain is very good in this one, though it may not be if the bracken is at its highest. The steep section at the top of the firebreak is easily bypassed on either side. The highest point is the more northerly of the two 275m spot heights shown on the 1:25000 map, at NM 4692 4844.
