Buachaille Etive Mor (3B, LR41)

Alan Dawson

The standard route up from the A82 into Coire na Tulaich now follows a well-made path to the west side of the upper corrie, clinging to the base of the crags and avoiding the steep slippery gully at the top, making it a much more appealing route for ascent or descent. The highest natural ground on Stob Dearg is unmarked at NN 22266 54252, though the top of the big cairn further north-east is higher.
