My highlight of the past year was climbing my final Corbett in July on Beinn a'Chaisgein Mor in Fisherfield. This was accomplished during a 13.5 hour traverse from Poolewe to Gruinard on possibly the finest day of the year. Other highlights included completing the Orkney nine and, in the process, having to fend off numerous bonxie attacks There were several other island visits, to Lewis, Harris, Rum, Skye, Eilean Shona and Carna. Despite poor weather, my first visit to Wales was also very enjoyable.
