Alan Dawson, who art (usually) in Crieff
Hallowed be thy Marilyns
Joyfully let us into the Hall of Fame come
When 600 of the peaks have been recorded and done
Ye should all forgive John Barnard his trespasses as he rents your list asunder
In return, on hillwalking days may we be spared lightning and thunder?
Oh beseech rain and tide to cause St Kilda's stacks to crumble
So that into the sea completers do not tumble
Finally, from our first faltering days on mountains until our last
Free from serious injury but glad of heart may we pass
