Grandaddy

Miles Hutchinson (+26=927)

I concentrated on my last ten Grahams during 2009, completing them in October on Beinn a'Chearcaill. Abysmal weather denied us the famed view into Coire Mhic Fhearchair, but any disappointment was compensated for by the company of good friends including Jill and Harry Dodgson, daughter and grandson of Colin Dodgson, the first recorded Grahamist. The previous nine Grahams had all been bagged in good weather, the highlight being Beinn a'Chaolais on Jura in August, from a midge-free camp below the western slopes. Elsewhere, when walking up Pibble Hill (27B), I was followed by an irate farmer in a 4WD, demanding that I get my car off his land. Like Sir Francis Drake, I opted to bag the hill first, in retrospect an unwise decision. The end of the public road approaching Mark Farm is not obvious - possibly a cattle grid - so baggers beware.
