It was not a very productive year as we were mainly based in Kinlochewe, where the weather was usually wet and windy. We managed to visit the Isle of Man and the Outer Hebrides, and intend to explore other islands in 2007. There were enjoyable jaunts in north-east England and the Lleyn peninsula. However, on our visit to Galloway it was disappointing to encounter a totally unnecessary diversion en route to Merrick due to forestry operations in the vicinity of the path. One of the highlights of the year was our second trip to Bidein Clann Raonaild (13B) in the snow, with glorious vistas to the Torridon hills, and a flock of snow buntings at the summit.
