Jim Fothergill: There is ample space for parking at the unmarked forest track starting at SJ285125. Follow the track steeply upwards heading SE and ignoring all paths left off this. Climb over the three fallen trees and continue to the signpost where it meets the right of way from the Garreg Bank area. This is also steep and has a bit of a scramble near the summit. There is also a car park at SJ297130 which may have an easier route to the top, but all marked paths go to Middletown Hill.
