I had resolved to try and push the Corbett count towards the halfway mark in 2005, but in the end only managed three. The first real walking was a week of mixed weather in May at Achiltibuie (16F) which included superb days for Ben Mor Coigach, Cul Mor and Cul Beag. A month later saw a rather wet and miserable week centred around Loch Ness picking up some of the smaller Marilyns including Mount Eagle (15B), which is now pretty well devoid of forestry. The remainder of the year brought just a couple of trips to mid Wales. For the first time I managed a Marilyn on new year's eve, Cruachan-Glen Vic Askill (17A), where a survey mast suggests this may be the location for a wind farm.
