Baglog: Harrold Thomson (+17=612)

By other people's standards 2004 was not a busy year for me, but 13 reascents (including three Munro completion parties) and a further seven non-Marilyn hills made the total a bit more respectable. Most ascents were enjoyable, but outstanding for weather and seascapes were Beinn Lora (3B), Druim na Cluain Airighe (10B) and Bidein a'Ghlas Thuill (14A). A trip to the Western Isles was not as productive as it might have been, due mainly to fierce equinoctial gales. Our first attempt on diminutive Kearnaval (24A) had to be abandoned after we were blown to the ground four times. Even Rueval, the highest point on Benbecula, gave us a fight to reach its top at a mere 124m.
