Baglogs:

Andy Sutton (+117=1153)

Progress continues to slow, although I still managed more than a hundred new Marilyns for the fifth year in a row. In the process, I finished the Corbetts with an ascent of Sgurr an Utha on 14 June 2012. No particular significance to this final summit but it was fitting that it was within sight of both my last Munro, Sgurr na Ciche, and my first Scottish hill, the Corbett Top of Streap Comlaidh - I bet not many people have that as their first peak.

I have enjoyed picking some of the more interesting Marilyn areas and have concentrated mostly on the islands. An Easter trip to Mull was followed by May visits to Rum and Eigg. Sea kayaking, which for the last couple of years has become a bit of a distraction - albeit a pleasant one - from bagging hills, came into its own with paddles out to Cruachan Charna and Beinn a'Bhaillidh on Eilean Shona.

August saw us on Shetland where we managed to complete all the Marilyns, including those on Foula and Fair Isle. A very enjoyable trip, even if the hills themselves were often not the highlight - quite a few peat bogs up there.

With Scotland out of range for short trips from Milton Keynes, I have been doing some Humps; a Christmas trip to Yorkshire brought me down to the last half dozen in England.
