On 2 January 2012 I, at last, completed the English Marilyns on Cracoe Fell. My Scottish Marilyn bagging in 2012 started in March with a visit to the Loch Creran district of Argyll in mixed weather, finishing with a weekend of summer weather doing Marilyns around Oban. During the annual meet we completed the Islay Marilyns, and then we spent a week completing the Jura Marilyns.
Our first visit to Orkney was made in July, where we managed to round up all the Marilyns. After a few days on Skye, at the end of August, with a number of other people in absolutely disgusting weather, I joined Iain Brown on his triple celebration of 1500 Marilyns, 224 Grahams, and his significant birthday. On 2 September I completed the 221 Corbetts with Beinn Mhic Chasgaig. Thank you to the people who were able to join me for this memorable event.
