Baglogs:

Ken Adamson (+35=660)

The year 2012 saw a wide mixture of things climbed. Early highlights included wintry traverses of Place Fell and Beinn na Cloiche. Easter saw a week on Mull with a number of Grahams climbed and included my favourite small hill of the year, S'Airde Beinn.

Summer holidays were again spent in Wester Ross, where I particularly enjoyed two long traverses in the great wilderness: Gruinard to Poolewe via the Beinn a'Chaisgein pair and Corrie Hallie to Gruinard via Beinn Dearg. On both days, I encountered not a soul after getting off the early morning bus. I also finally completed an often postponed visit to Beinn Bhreac, Atholl, getting there over Beinn Dearg. How I wished had come back that way as well, despite the additional climbing this would have involved. The hill itself is utterly unremarkable but the area between the Tarf, Feshie and Bruar must surely be one of the most desolate expanses of high-level ground in the country. October saw a week in north Wales where the Nantlle ridge in wild and windy weather was a highlight.

Plans for 2013 remain rather haphazard as always, but with the general aim of incrementally progressing my Marilyn/Corbett/Graham totals as well as tidying-up the handful of unclimbed Marilyns in regions 1-5. And it would be nice if it stopped raining.
