The first half of the year saw a pretty derisory haul of new Marilyns, mainly due to spending too much time doing DIY or going caving. A week up at Achiltibuie did result in bagging sufficient Corbetts to reach the halfway mark, something I hoped to achieve two years ago. A six-day bagging session during the Marhof meeting in Wales resulted in another 20 Marilyns and the breach of the halfway mark. The remainder of the year resulted in finishing off the Lake District and a few odds and sods in the northern Pennines. This means that the nearest new Marilyns are about 120 miles from home base, so I think I will be camping quite a bit this year.
