Undoubtedly the highlight of the year was my ascent of Stac Pollaidh after many years of looking at it, and one previous attempt where I didn't make it to the top. It's got to be one of the best small hills in the whole of Britain (it helps being near Suilven, which I voted top in the Graham Poll). Other highlights were mainly on Corbetts, which I hope to complete in June this year. In April I enjoyed a superb sunny day on Braigh nan Uamhachan (10D), with deep fresh snow on the ground. My best walk was in May over Beinn na Cille, Fuar Bheinn and Creach Bheinn (18C), with superb visibility as far as Beinn Mhor on South Uist, 133km distant. In June I had a great day on Arkle (16B), escorted across the summit plateau by a ptarmigan. The lowlight was probably a day on Meall Horn and Sabhal Beag (16B) a couple of days earlier, with rain and winds reaching over 100kph (it was too strong for me to stand up and get a reading from my anemometer).
