I was determined to do better in 2014 but it did not really work out and I added only five to my total. I had many great days walking in Scotland but, again, no new Marilyns. I did, however, climb four in what was a new area for me - the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire. The traverse of Pendle Hill was a delight.
My final Marilyn of the year was Tosson Hill in Northumberland. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk on a bright but windy day when I had the hill to myself.
