Having taken a career break between June 2013 and August 2014, 2014 was my best year for Marilyn bagging statistics. On returning from nine weeks out in Australia and New Zealand in January to March I had a number of trips up to Scotland during the year, with a focus on bagging outstanding Corbetts and Grahams. Of the 42 Marilyns bagged, 39 were Scottish including 15 Corbetts and 14 Grahams.
In November my 700th Marilyn was reached on Lowick High Common and my 600th Scottish Marilyn on Ellson Fell in the borders, with Graham and Tove Illing. With only eight Corbetts remaining, the aim for 2015 is to concentrate on completing all except one, and make inroads into my 105 remaining Grahams.
