As well as producing accurate hill measurements, the leisurely data recording part of the surveying procedure allows time for various activities as well as looking at the view, such as reading, texting, listening to music, eating, jumping up and down to keep warm, and wandering around taking photographs. Occasionally the resulting photographs offer a few surprises, as shown in this selection from the summit area of a new Hump.
