The international highpoint of 2013 was the ascent of Stok Kangri (6153m) in Ladakh. My UK highpoint was a week spent in Shetland ascending all 19 Marilyns with John Henderson and Derrick Harman - eleven ferries and four flights were taken to visit Shetland Mainland, Fetlar, Unst, Yell, Noss, Bressay, Foula and Fair Isle. Other islands visited in 2013 included Skye, Mull, Barra, Vatersay and South Uist. Two trips to the Lake District helped raise my English Marilyn count.
My low point of the year was the ascent of 14 mostly dull Marilyns in south-east England.
