2013 was the first year for a long time that I did not climb a new Marilyn in Scotland, although I had a lot of great days walking and climbing in Scotland and managed two new Marilyns in England and six in Wales.
I finally climbed The Calf, on one of the hottest days of the year - I did not meet another person all day although I was attacked by a buzzard, three times. I would also single out Corndon Hill - a very easy walk on a good path and a seat at the top from which to enjoy the lovely view.
I am looking forward to 2014 and determined to have a better total to report at the end.
