My interest in Marilyns began... as I was already climbing Munros and Corbetts and was in the fortunate position of having a job that took me to unfrequented, Marilyn-strewn parts of western Scotland. I cannot remember how I discovered the RHB book.
My favourite Marilyn is... of those that I have climbed, Suilven which is just monumental. On a more personal note, I must mention Haddington Hill - the highest point in my beloved Chilterns. However, I should mention that I have yet to walk some of the classics, e.g. Buachaille Etive Mor, Liathach, An Teallach and the Cuillin.
My least favourite Marilyn is... Marilyn Manson because of the evil he spreads throughout the world.
Do I keep Marilyn bagging a secret? I keep my bagging habits a secret from women I wish to date. Learnt from experience.
I... did not bag a single Marilyn for about twelve years as I spent most of the 90s immersed in the music business as a DJ, promoter, PRer, writer and general party animal. For some reason, my memories of that period of my life are somewhat hazy.
