There is a free forest drive, open Easter to end of October, from the A83 at Auchindrain Folk Museum, through Eredine Forest to Loch Awe. Park in a turning head at the highest point at NM 9716 0470. Use the faint track directly opposite, not the more prominent one 20 metres south. After 200 metres, the track crosses a burn. Head upstream to emerge from the trees at NM 9663 0432. The same forest drive can be used for Beinn Ghlas, but park at about NM994012.
