Baglogs:

Tony Deall (+19=826)

Another fairly quiet Marilyn year in 2012, not made easier by a sudden worsening of long-standing knee problems on a second ski trip. This eventually necessitated an extended arthroscopic operation which slowed the year down a good bit.

The only non-Scottish hill was Cheriton Hill in Kent, which is really about as far away from Scotland as it is possible to get. My Graham totals edged up to 144, so still a goodly way to go.

It was nice, however, to repeat some classic Munros after many years, in the welcome company of younger Munro-bagging friends. Highlights of a magical week in September included An Teallach, Liathach, Slioch and, at last, Suilven. We also enjoyed the exciting scramble up the spiky Hump of Suilven, Meall Meadhonach.

Plans for 2013 include more Grahams and a final assault on the last few English Marilyns - all down in Devon and Cornwall.
