Baglogs:

Brian Ewing (+25=1213)

All my new Marilyns during the course of 2010 were, you will have guessed, in Scotland. This takes me within three hills of completing the Scottish Marilyns, just leaving the awkward trio of the St Kilda group. The most notable and, I suppose, the highlight of the year, was my last Scottish mainland Marilyn, Meall an t-Slamain overlooking Fort William, which I climbed on 9 October, a lovely sunny day. This hill was chosen as it vaguely ties in with my first Marilyn, Ben Nevis, just across Loch Linnhe, which I climbed in 1978. It certainly gave a good backdrop to the summit photo.

What now? While I await another visit to St Kilda there are the Donalds and Tops (11 to do), Murdos (42), Humps (770) and the Haswell-Smith islands to be going on with. Hopefully my body will remain as enthusiastic as my mind (CW: There is, of course, England and Wales).
