Baglogs:

Hedley Horsler (+46=781) and Val Horsler (+48=769)

2010 was an unusual year for us; for the first time since we started collecting hills we climbed fewer in Scotland than elsewhere, and we went walking in Wales for the first time since 1975. English walking was combined with visits to friends south of London in April, and the Welsh walks in the Brecon Beacons followed a visit with friends to south-west Wales in August. All very different from Scotland but it had its attractions.

The main Scottish trip was to Pairc and adjacent areas of Lewis, including a two-night backpacking trip. This taught me one important lesson; I am too old and too sensible to hump big packs around any more. I either have to give it up or get a stronger wife. As I quite like the one I have, the backpacking has to go.

Val and I have discussed our walking strategy. Well, it's not actually a strategy, it's just deciding where we will walk. We are going to go where we have never been before, or where we have been before and liked enough to go again, or where we find ourselves for other reasons (CW: you are right, that's not a strategy). Anyway, it's the far north for us this year.
