On The Threshold Of A Dream:

Tony Deall, Penrith (614)

After several years of being aware of Marilyns I finally notched up 600 on Aye Gill Pike (35B) on 2 November. Number 601 followed four days later, just to make sure I had finally entered the Hall. Having completed the Munros in 1994, I am well on the way with Corbetts (173) though less well on with Grahams (73). Aspirations are probably to complete both, together with the English Marilyns, and then work down the list in terms of altitude. I don't remember my first Marilyn but it was probably Place Fell (34C) in the early 1960's; a hill I have now climbed 174 times and plan to use as a final resting place for my ashes.
