Jim Fothergill: It is possible to drive up an unmarked forest track from the 354m spot height at SJ060226 to the forest edge at 056216. There are two gates, one with a rope loop. There is also room to turn round at the end, from which the trig point is about 15 minutes away. It is surrounded by deep heather on very uneven ground, but there is a bit of a track approaching the trig point from the NW.
