Cellar Field:

Hallmasters report: Michael Knipe, Crook (346)

Michael has tried very hard this year, but still fails to live up to his potential, which has been badly affected by lack of application and absences. When he does manage to contribute in class, his offerings are of some quality - for example, his efforts on The Buck and Bennachie, and on Ben Starav, Cairn Toul and Ciste Dhubh were particularly useful. These efforts were somewhat overshadowed by rather poor, lazy and careless bags, such as Sell Moor Hill, on which he managed to get both himself and his dog electrocuted on a fence, despite there being a perfectly serviceable gateway only 200 metres away; Colt Hill, where he lost the pedometer he had had for less than 24 hours and which won't be replaced; and Law Kneis, which wasn't very kneis at all due to the deep grass, blackfly and general sweatiness. His refusal to visit Wigan for a climb up Billinge Hill is, however, commendable. But the addition of only 35 ticks to his bag during the year is, frankly, pathetic, in view of the fact that he has nothing better to do. Must try much harder next year. C+.
