I managed 56 new Marilyns in 2005, of which 31 were Grahams, my main current pursuit. A rare visit to Albion's Plain allowed me to increase my English total by 50%, one of these being Hensbarrow Beacon, plus its adjacent and higher spoil heap. One of the most memorable days out was Carn a'Ghaill on Canna, thanks to a trip in a friend's yacht from Mallaig. However, the highlight of the year was watching the sun set over St Kilda from a bivvy high on Beinn Mhor, South Uist.
