Glen Feshie, Glen Bruar, Strathdearn, Corrieyairack... the leitmotif for 2005 was definitely tracks, and the main activity was in sections 6 and 9. Started the year on Drummond Hill in a gale and ended on Beinn Tharsuinn (Alness) trudging through breakable crust. Best walk of the year was Sgurr Gaorsaic from Morvich. I was GOML'd off Hoove by a shepherd a few weeks before it became access land, and went back as soon as it was. Least enjoyable hill was Ben Vuirich; yet another track but this time in rain, mist and wind with a defective waterproof.
