Baglogs:

Ticking over: Chris Peart

Twenty-three of the 36 new hills were Grahams, mostly climbed at Easter and during two weeks in May. These three weeks were spent on the Glenelg peninsula and on Skye. They were all fine hills, especially the red Cuillin, which were superb and surprisingly busy. In September I met up with Colin Crawford for some wanted Welsh hills. This took us down the Lleyn peninsula, ending up on Bardsey for Mynydd Enlli. We didn't have too much trouble getting the boat, and the people at the Bardsey Island Trust were very helpful. We were dismayed to find the boat went from Pwllheli, but the fast new boat only took an hour. It was a good day out, especially for wildlife watching, with seals, dolphins and choughs particularly memorable. I have only six left in Wales now, all with varying degress of access stress involved. This should ensure I don't do them too quickly. It's getting to the stage now where I need more than a weekend away if I'm to do any bagging. I need a move north.
